Bespoke Sourcing
Custom Molds & Branded Packaging
Availability: By Request
The Baking Atelier exists because we kept hearing the same frustration from chefs we respected. Finding a specific European baking innovation, in the exact shape or size a kitchen actually needed, took more effort in the United States than it should.
Our standard catalog covers a lot of ground, but not everything. If you cannot find the product you need, we help you source it. If you are developing something new, we help you get the tools and packaging that bring it to life. There are two paths below, depending on what you need.
Custom Molds
Built to Your Exact Specification
Sourced through Maé Innovation, the French manufacturer behind our standard Silmaé line. This path applies when you need a cavity shape, size, or format that does not exist in our standard catalog, real tooling and engineering work, not a modification of something already made.
Every custom mold is produced in SIL035, the same platinum cured silicone as our standard catalog, made in Touraine, France, under the same EU food contact regulations as any Silmaé piece on our shelves. The shape is unique to you. The standard is not lowered to get there.
Custom Branded Packaging
Your Logo, Our Chic Bake Box
A separate path for chefs who want their own branding on our existing Chic Bake Box formats, the Tuxedo and Natural boxes, in their current sizes. This does not involve new tooling or mold design.
Custom sizes and logo branding are both available, though branded orders require a larger minimum than our standard sizes. We do not publish a fixed minimum here since it depends on your specific request, reach out and we will give you a real number.

How a Custom Mold Comes to Life
-
Stage One — 3D Modelling
Maé's design team models your request in CAD. You review a technical data sheet and a full 3D drawing before anything physical is made.
-
Stage Two — Prototype
A physical silicone prototype is produced for your validation, so you can test shape, release, and fit before tooling begins.
-
Stage Three — Production
Once you approve the prototype, tooling is built and your production series is run.
Common Questions
-
How is this different from picking the closest match in your standard catalog?
A standard catalog match is immediate and requires no tooling. A custom mold is built to your exact cavity dimensions when no standard shape fits, which takes real engineering time but gets you an exact match instead of a compromise.
-
Can I see a prototype before committing to a full production run?
Yes. You approve a physical silicone prototype before tooling for the full series begins, not just a digital rendering.
-
Is custom Chic Bake Box branding the same process as a custom mold?
No. Branding applies your logo to existing box sizes. It does not involve new tooling, which is why the two are separate conversations with different requirements.
-
What is the minimum order?
It depends on the specifics of your request. Reach out with what you need and we will give you a real minimum, not a generic figure.
-
What should I have ready before I reach out?
Exact dimensions and cavity count, down to millimeters if you have them. Your intended use, baking temperature range, freezer to oven needs, and expected volume. Any reference material, a photo, sketch, or sample communicates a shape faster than a description. We'll give you a real timeline once we understand your request, not a generic estimate.
